Volunteering with Sakhi for South Asian Women

Volunteering at Sakhi can be enriching, empowering, and fun - we encourage all volunteers to contribute their unique talents, skills, and knowledge to the organization. If you have the time, dedication, and desire to help fulfill our mission to end violence against women, read on for details about our volunteer program.

Sakhi has three core volunteer opportunities supporting our program work and mission to end violence. An average of fifty active trained volunteers help us fulfill Sakhi's mission, including provision of direct services and engagement of the community in the fight to end violence against women. For more information on the volunteer training, click here.

In addition, Sakhi enables professionals with limited time to get involved by supporting the organization's resource development. These crucial contributions help make Sakhi a stronger organization. To get involved with Sakhi's volunteer development committee, Gen2, click here.

Finally, Sakhi's internship program offers dedicated community members the opportunity to get hands-on experience with all sectors of our programming. For more details, click here.
